Day to day you can expect to:
- Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service.
- Assess and support people with common mental health issues in the self-management of their recovery and triage to internal and external psychological support.
- Undertake client-centred interviews which identifies areas where the person wishes to see change and or recovery and makes an accurate assessment of risk to self and others.
- Provide access daily to in the moment support for clients wishing to speak with a low intensity practitioner. This will involve the use of counselling skills, psychoeducation, and assessment.
- Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to The Employee Resilience Company referral protocols.
- Provide a range of information and support for clients entering the service. This may include self-help CBT and information about pharmacological treatments. This work may be face to face, telephone or via other media channels.
- Provide supporting information to managers or other key personnel within customer organisations where required.
- Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the overall number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week to minimise waiting times and ensure service delivery remains accessible and convenient.
- Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or clients in treatment, where appropriate.
- Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service using CORE-Net as a clinical management tool.
- Keep coherent records of all clinical activity in line with service protocols and use these records and clinical outcome data in clinical decision making and onward triage internally and externally.
- Work closely with other members of the team, ensuring appropriate step-up and stepdown arrangements are in place to maintain a stepped care approach to psychological support.
- Assess and integrate issues surrounding work and employment into the overall therapy process.
- Always operate from an inclusive values base which promotes recovery and recognises and respects diversity.
- Positions in this team can be full or part time (minimum 4 days per week) with rotational shifts of 8am-4pm & 12pm-8pm
