You'll also have:
2+ years of product design experience, including exposure to native app design.
Some experience with being responsible for the full end-to-end life-cycle of the creative design process.
An understanding of and experience with user research - using qualifying questions and surveys to quantifiably understand the user experience.
A portfolio that showcases your skills in Visual Design, Interaction, Usability and Research.
Knowledge and experience with design software (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Miro or FigJam).
Familiarity with data collection and visualisation software such as Mixpanel, Databricks, Power BI, Google Analytics or similar.
What you'll be doing (in a nutshell)
Working end-to-end with Product Managers, Designers and Engineers to continually improve and contribute to the design of our newly enriched product offering within the now merged Perkbox Vivup organisation.
You’ll have visibility of strategic decisions and the opportunity to enjoy a wide remit for solutionising and decision making.
A key focus will be continuously discovering and understanding our customers' needs and challenges through both customer research and data analysis. This will provide the foundation for you to create clear, compelling narratives and deliver simple but meaningful outcomes that bring real value to our customers, building an experience they truly love using.
Day to day you’ll:
Research and testing
Conduct group or 1:1 interviews with customers.
Create customer surveys.
Use software to test prototypes and gather feedback on your designs.
Build strong relationships with customer facing teams.
Concepts and scoping
Create wireframes to showcase user journeys and flows.
Perform audits on the current product to assess its performance.
Be aware of best practice and trends to understand customer expectations.
Negotiate requirements to deliver maximum value with minimal effort.
Work collaboratively, utilising workshops to share ideas and solve problems.
Be open to feedback and use it to improve your designs.
Build clear narratives that link your work to a customer problem.
Execution and delivery
Utilise a mobile-first approach to create designs that are fit for purpose for both responsive web and app interfaces.
Create pixel perfect images ready for developer screens to help the transition from design into development.
Help manage a design system to keep our experience consistent.
Collaborate with engineers - testing designs on both app and web to ensure smooth delivery.
The tools you’ll use:
Figma - Used to create low or high fidelity designs
Figjam - Used for high level brainstorming and workshops
Maze - Used for user testing
Mixpanel - Used to track data
Intercom - Used for product outreach (Tours, Surveys, Banners, etc)
Dovetail - AI tool used decoding research
Notion - Storing research results
Google drive - Design / research assets

The interview process
Initial phone screen with the Talent Team (30-40 mins)
Competency Interview with our Head of Product Design and Product Director (1 hour)
Portfolio review and whiteboard challenge - help us get to know you better by showcasing one of the projects you’re most proud of and solving a small task/problem with our team (1 hour 30 mins).
Final stage interview with our Chief Product Officer (30 mins)
