As we continue to grow our Bulgaria-based team, an opportunity has become available for an experienced QA Team Lead. The successful Team Lead will drive quality across products by leading and mentoring a team of QA engineers while remaining hands‑on in testing and automation. You will oversee planning and execution of QA activities, define and enforce standards, integrate automated checks into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient testing outcomes.
Responsibilities
Leading QA Engineers and provide guidance, allocate tasks, and support career growth
Plan and prioritise QA activities to ensure effective execution of testing across functional, integration, and regression levels
Define and enforce QA standards by implementing methodologies and guidelines to maintain consistency
Identify and mitigate risks and address quality and delivery challenges
Improve QA processes to drive efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with stakeholders
Support product delivery to ensure timely testing outcomes for new features and integrations
Provide reporting and deliver updates on progress, quality, and risks to management
Skills & Experience
A minimum of 6+ years of experience in Automation QA, with at least 2 years as a Team Leader
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience building or integrating AI into QA workflows with a strong automation bias
Solid experience with Playwright and Maestro, plus test management tools (Testdino, PractiTest, or similar) and accessibility testing tools (Deque, Axe‑core, or similar)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline architecture and integration i.e. GitLab CI, GitHub actions, ArgoCD
Experience with different types of testing (functional, integration, regression)
Ability to recognise and address risks efficiently, with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Experience with agile methodologies and the software development life cycle, combined with excellent communication and leadership skills
Work Mode & Salary
Remote working within Bulgaria only. We do have an office in Plovdiv should you wish to work hybrid.
Gross annual salary: €50,000 to €54,000 based on experience

30 minute interview with the Senior Talent Advisor
45 minute strategy and design interview with the Director of Engineering
45 minute technical interview with an Engineering Manager + Staff Engineer)
30 minute final interview with the CPTO
